I believe this is what they call "the light at the end of the tunnel."

Okay, so yes, How I Met Your Mother has been renewed for a ninth season, but it will be the series' last. I'm so happy and so horribly sick of this show, I can't even bring myself to make a "maybe we'll finally meet the mother" comment.

Christoph Waltz will host the February 16 episode of Saturday Night Live, which I'm kind of excited about because I've never seen him in something I've absolutely hated before.

Warner Brothers has given the green light to an Entourage movie for those of you who want to see Turtle getting laid on the big screen. (Gross.)

In the first news item of the day that isn't partly skin-crawling, BBC America is bringing us a Doctor Who TV movie!

Roseanne Barr will guest star on The Office, hopefully taking the show with her when she leaves. Elsewhere, Melinda Clarke is guesting on Vegas, and NBC's upcoming Dracula just landed a few familiar faces.

Eat it, Norah Jones! Barbra Streisand is performing at the Oscars, too.

Some notable pilot news today: Fox ordered a pilot about an undercover gang member and one about an aircraft carrier from Justified Executive Producer Graham Yost; TLC is planning a Kitchen Nightmares rip-off with Cake Boss Buddy Valastro; Ke$ha is getting a docuseries on MTV (hope you're out of jail in time to watch it!); CBS is plotting some kind of lie detector reality show; and ABC has a few projects in the works, one almost literally serving as a giant Disneyland commercial (yes, another one).

Think you've got game? Prove it! Check out Games Without Pity, our new area featuring trivia, puzzle, card, strategy, action and word games -- all free to play and guaranteed to help pass the time until your next show starts.
