Wrestling With the Past

Emily will be taking on Julie next. Julie spins the wheel while sticking out her tongue. Is it wrong that sometimes I want to slap her? Probably. Anyway, Dan voice-overs that Julie is a "loose cannon these days," and probably about to "lash out." God, I hope Emily kicks Julie's ass. Of course, they have to wrestle one another, because it's fixed. In an interview, Julie says that she doesn't want to lose tonight. She thinks it's "disgusting, the way they treated Ayanna. It's just despicable!" I can't even summon up the energy to explain how much I hate her right now. I think I need to take a recapping break. It's very early in the morning and I can't do it.

Okay, I'm back. Sorry about that. Julie makes me tired. I think she makes me tired because I wrote about her for a whole season of Real World, and she never bothered me this much. Like with Amaya last year, I was surprised if she was actually tolerable. I have higher expectations of Julie somehow. Not that you asked. Julie does a slo-mo jump into the mud. Well, if I'd known there was going to be a commercial break right here, I wouldn't have had to take that break a minute ago.

After the break, we get to see the same awkward shot of Julie diving into the mud. Emily and Julie face off, and then suddenly, they're lying in the mud with Emily on top. Julie rubs mud in Emily's face, but Emily dominates. The judge rules that Emily is the winner. After the match, Syrrhosis helps Julie towel off. Interesting.

In an interview, Julie says, "Everyone needs to have a time in their life when they break down to square one, and they just build up, and it's truly them, and it's sincere. And…it suuuuuucks!" I don't have any idea what that means, but I thought that I would just quote the whole thing so that you can try to interpret it yourselves.

The rude announcer pronounces the Road Rules team the winners. They now have $20,000, while the Real World team has $40,000. Michelle says that her team needed the win, especially with Ayanna gone, and now she really feels that "team morale is just going to go through the roof."

The rude announcer is still around, and he tells us that James is the MVP. In an interview, James gives a little speech about how they got over Ayanna's departure and did what they had to do to win. James wins "Audio / Video Auto Products." He looks confused, and for once, I don't blame him. James says something about how his team "came to play."

In an interview, Julie cries some more. She's sick of so much. She's sick of being told how to feel. I'm sick of her crying and whining. She's really sobbing at this point.
