Gary and Mallory get dropped off in front of the museum. She wants to wander off in some random direction and he has to all but drag her down the boardwalk to the beach, but they eventually get there. "Gary and Mallory!" Phil hollers at them from a distance, totally out of character. The greeter, a coconut-drink vendor, is also really excited, yelling. "Welcome to Rio de Janeiro, welcome to Brazil!" And Phil tells them they're team number one. "You are one of the three teams that will be racing to the finish line for a second chance to win one million dollars." If they can ever stop hugging each other, that is. Phil adds that if that happens, he thinks Gary will be the oldest person to ever win the Amazing Race, not that he's looked it up or anything. Mallory totally has a happy-meltdown until Phil calms them down enough to tell them about the Mediterranean cruise they just won. Normally I skip these because who cares, but I admit to being amused by the photo of the gnome's conical hat stuck in the ceiling after apparently jumping on the stateroom bed. I'm not made of stone, after all. Even though the gnome is.

Kisha and Jen are nearly finished, and the Globetrotters see another one go into the trash as a result of too little ice. Justin and Zev get out of a cab and come sauntering up to the bars like they have all the time in the world, just as Kisha and Jen finish up and get their clue to the Pit Stop. Not that Jen isn't more concerned with all the drinks they just left behind untouched. Which, again, is probably for the best.

Zev only has one question about the drinks: "Do I have to samba while I do it?" The Globetrotters are at 76, which means they only have 14 to go according to Big Easy's math, although he quickly corrects himself. Zev and Justin have found their rhythm, but the Globetrotters are still justifiably hopeful that they'll be in the final three instead of Zev and Justin.

Phil calls Kisha and Jen over to the mat, and has the vendor give them a couple of drinks. Now that I think about it, I suspect that maybe Phil's been getting into those a little bit while he's been waiting. He has way too much fun telling them they're team number two, and in the final three.

It's 33 degrees Celsius at the beach as drink-making continues. The Globetrotters are now singing back to the band while they make their last few drinks. A little overconfident, perhaps? "They're really annoying me right now," Justin says from the bar down the beach. But it doesn't matter, because the Globetrotters are done, they have their clue, and they're off to the Pit Stop. Justin says, "We started the race, and we're gonna finish. We don't want to give up, you know. We're just doing it, man." Funny, it sounds like they've already given up. They finish up their hundred, and while the judge hands Zev the clue, Justin makes up another shaker for them to share. "The last team to check in will be eliminated," Zev reads, over the subtitle reminding us that they're "currently in last place." They drink to "a good run." Which it was. Certainly not the kind of race that's going to haunt them for the rest of their lives like the last one would have.
