I have no good excuse as to why I had never seen the British Office before now. I watch more television than anyone I know, I love Ricky Gervais and most of my friends own a copy of the complete series. Also, I've been a huge fan of the American adaptation from the very beginning. So you can understand why, when all of the episodes of the original Office series were recently posted on Hulu, I was literally assigned to watch it.

Tonight marks the Season 5 premiere of Cougar Town, a feat that seemed almost impossible a few years ago. You might even say as improbable as the ever-blossoming romance between Laurie (Busy Philipps) and Travis (Dan Byrd). Sorry, did I say improbable? I meant inappropriate. Sure, these are both consenting adults, their age gap isn't that wide and now that Jules (Courteney Cox) and Grayson (Josh Hopkins) have settled down the show needed a new love story to focus on, but still….ew. There's just something so inherently wrong about getting together with your best friend's grown son. But whether or not Laurie and Travis make this work (Jules could very well kill Laurie), they're still far from the only so-wrong-it's-wrong TV courtship. Let's take a look back, in no particular order, at some of the most memorable inappropriate relationships:

For 16 days straight, world-class athletes from around the globe who have trained for years gather to... totally ruin our TV schedules and DVRs. And it's not just NBC's lineup that is put on hold while people perform in death-defying sports for an all-too-brief moment of glory. No, other channels put their shows on hiatus so they don't have to compete with the 2014 Winter Games. So if you're not glued to the drama going on in Sochi, the Olympics will feel like an awfully long two weeks. (Everything on the other channels is usually either a repeat or The Taste.) Thankfully, Netflix -- as is so often the case -- is at your rescue. If you're not an Olympics person (or simply need a break from all that spinning and luging), this is prime time to do some Netflix binging.

Forget Lords-a-Leaping or the Maids-a-Milking or whatever the heck Colly birds are. Since the 12 days of Christmas have three solid days at best (Day 5 of those Golden Rings sounds like a pretty good deal) we decided to pick an episode of television to correspond with each day instead. After all, the Christmas-themed episodes of shows like 30 Rock, M.A.S.H., and The O.C. are truly the gifts that keep on giving. So, all together now, here are the 12 Days of classic Christmas episodes to watch this and every season.
1) "The Simpsons," Lisa Simpson-- Lisa's convictions are strongly leftist. She is a vegetarian and has expressed a desire to become a vegan. Lisa also joined the animal rights group PETA.
2) "Friends," Phoebe Buffay -- Portrayed by Lisa Kudrow, Phoebe is somewhat of a champion of animal rights and the environment. She is a vegetarian and doesn't eat "food with a face. She is against the wearing of fur coats, and cries when flowers die.
3) "Green Acres," Oliver Wendell Douglas -- Oliver was a New York City attorney who had a dream of moving to the Midwest and operating a farm rather than practicing law. He didn't adjust well to farm life, not for lacking of trying though. The show concentrated on farming, growing your own crops, and caring for animals.
4) "All in the Family," Gloria and Michael Stivic -- Portrayed by Sally Struthers and Rob Reiner, they shared liberal political beliefs. An example of this is when Michael got arrested for a nude protest at a nuclear power plant.
5) "Ellen DeGeneres Show," Ellen -- Ellen is a big animal activist and lover of the environment. On her show she often refers to the hybrid car she drives and tries to get as many pets adopted as possible.
